Earth and Moon of the “Planetsti”, planets path in Lemvig
The solar system – artfully depicted – can now be explored on a leisurely hike through the Terfner valley forest, the Forchat.
On the planet trail the planetary system was reconstructed to scale between Freistadt and the observatory Sandl.
The observatory in Sandl is one of the 14 stations of the Solar Flare Watch Program of NASA.
A promenade leads from Selva/Wolkenstein to St. Christina and on to Ortisei/St. Ulrich along the disused track of the former Val Gardena railway. Of course the walk can be undertaken in both directions and the path is kept well groomed in winter.
Here is a walk you could lead along our Planet Path.
Our Planet Path is a scale model of the Solar System.
Sightseeing around Lake Geneva (France/Switzerland)
On the Planet Trail the distances in our solar system are mapped on a scale of 1:1 billion, with all of the planets re-created as scale models.
This scale model of the Solar System is spread out along 6.4 miles of the old East Coast main-line railway.
